Never too late... guest bloggers Carolyn & Penny

Carolyn and I had our photo shoot today, thanks to her hubby, Gordon. He's such a good sport. Streusels were a pleasure to knit. So much that C has started another. These were a KAL to celebrate "Girls in Sheep Clothing... and a few boys, too" 5-year anniversary -- back in July. We might be slow, be we're persistent.

Tolt-R-Us... Guest Blogger Penny & Carolyn!

Guess where we went? Yup, Tolt Yarn & Wool! Quaint, beautifully displayed yarn and accessories, and friendly staff.

Wish I could say we spent a lot of money, but the holidays sucked the life out of my budget (I can't speak for C). In any event, I did buy this beautiful "Puddle" Bumblebirch yarn. It is earmarked for a classy shawl, though I have no idea what pattern -- just yet. I love that it will go with denim.

You guys have a WONDERFUL time on your January KAL. I'm envious, but have too many pans in the fire. I'll drop by periodically so I can ooh and ah your many creations.

She's in... by guest blogger Penny

Update Aug. 29th: Carolyn is loving this project and thinks she might knit another one of these days, but in the mean time, I took a photo last night.

Happy to report, Carolyn is going to join us in the Streusel KAL, since she bought the pattern and downloaded it. This is the yarn she's using. (Oops, I meant to add... this is Entice, and the color is Carnelian).

Because I know she won't do it, as soon as C has something to show off, I'll take a picture and post it.

Officially done -- guest blogger Carolyn

I lied, this is Penny, but someone needs to report that Carolyn's shawl is done and tonight we block. We'll get pics and add it to this post SOON. She finished at 2 a.m., this morning. Persistent!

Way to go -- Carolyn. Tomorrow we hike!

(In reality, we did not hike and we did not block the shawl until today. Carolyn was not feeling well.)

Update June 1st:
I'll post a couple more pics after the shawl is dried. It turned out soooo pretty.

Update June 3rd: Carolyn, this is wonderful. Now go work on a pair of socks. No -- read!!!

Guest bloggers... Penny & Carolyn

Yikes... I don't know how I keep screwing this up, but seems like I get a few rows knitted and then I find my count is off  -- again and again. Grrrr! Oh well, I'm making progress, plus I am getting a lot of sunshine.

Let me guess, Melissa, you're on your third shawl. Is that right Wonder Woman?

Update: May 12th:

Carolyn is doing great. I LOVE the color. She came over and I took a pic of her shawl...

She wanted me to post our shawls together. Not sure why they look more colorful...

May KAL - guest bloggers Carolyn and Penny

Hi everyone...

I dated this entry so it will fit below the Tulip Festival and Deception Pass posts.

My BFF... Carolyn, and I bought our yarn today. I have the feeling she made the better choice with her Filisilk (70% Merino, 30% Silk). She will never agree to post EVER, so I am adding her project to mine.

I went to "Serial Knitters" today and bought a different yarn from what I first posted. I felt like I might not like a variegated shawl. This is Zauberball (75% wool & 25% Nylon). The woman in the shop said this was a bit sticky, but I've knitted on it before. I wanted something that would look good with denim. :)

Good luck everyone. We look forwarding to knitting with you. Hope we finish ours before June "2014".

In it's infancy.
