are you ready for some FO [otball] ? ~ Melissa

long summer days ~ a hard working husband ~ lots of quiet time ~ a fun knitalong to encourage getting a giant, unruly pile of W[orks]I[n]P[rogress] finished ~ preseason football playing in the background

much has been completed ~ there's still lots to do but I've made huge progress :
 

 
baby gifts blocked and wrapped and given away :
  
 
a test knit for WillyG completed that turned my husband into a supermodel ~ hehe :) :
 
 
 2012 starts finally finished in 2013 ~ good grief :
 
 
 
 
and this fun shawl that should have been done long ago :
 
 
not bad for 3 weeks of buckling down, eh?
 
now if I could just finish the other dozen projects that I've started (shhh!)

      I love your knitting studio, Karen! my knitting attic is one of the wip's that I'm hoping to put finishing touches on (which will be much easier with all this clutter turned into usable things that can be folded and put away ~ hooray!)

    WOW, you have got a lot done..an inspiration to all of us slackers. :) Beautiful projects, not sure I have a favorite.. maybe the sweater, maybe. Of course I favor the hat model..

      I favor him, too :) ~ the stinker wants another hat but didn't like the 5 colors of cascade 220 I had left in my stash...

      I gave the 5 skeins to Penny to make charity hats and Jas & I are going yarn shopping so he can pick some colors he likes (if he ever gets another day off work!)

    WOW!!! These are amazing. Seriously impressed, Mel. You are the super knitter of super knitters. I'm soooo impressed. Love the Baby sweater. Actually I like anything you make. All of these are wonderful. And no... I don't watch Football. (oops, did I really write that in a public place?)

    Oh... and Jason's hat makes me want to knit another in that pattern. Especially now that I borrowed Carolyn's Harmony's. I'm in heaven. Perhaps I need to make one from the yarn you gave me, so he can wish you kept it -- for him? We'll see.

      I'm glad you tried her needles before investing in a set ~ needles are such a personal thing and you should never take one person's opinion on them (but didn't I tell you when you asked me about them that I thought you would love them?? hehe!)

      I gave all my Clover straights away to another patient that was just learning to knit but I kept all my circulars because I do still like them for some things!
