Almost!!!!!!! ~ by guest blogger Leanne

I know I'm behind the group, but I'm almost done with my Leaves!

Less than a 1/4 way around to do and it will be ready to block. WOOHOO!!!!

I read this quote recently and I loved it....

"Projects are made one stitch at a time. Slow down and enjoy the process."
So true......

I am constantly rushing to get my projects done. With the wish list of what I want to knit in my head, stash yarn yelling my name and my Ravelry Favs, new yarn stores popping up everywhere...I mean really. How can I possibly knit everything I want to? My sister knits at an unbelievable rate and I don't know how she does it! But I have to say, this project has been a joy to work on.
I'm ready to be done and yet I have a feeling I'll miss it when it's over.

( I ended up only doing on D Chart repeat. This sucker was getting too big!!!)

Happy Knitting!
Leanne

  1. It is beautiful Leanne, simply beautiful!
    The quote is so true.

I got as far as winding up my yarn and that is it. I decided I needed a little practice with charts before taking one such an awesome project. Maybe this summer I will have enough nerve to knit my own Leaves.

    1. Tracey ~ your finished pi tells me you'd have no trouble with Leaves. I hope you give it a try ;)

  2. I'm so glad you didn't get discouraged by the few fast finishers right out of the gate, Leanne! Most everyone else that is still working on their Leaves is right about the same spot as you are.

It's going to be amazing ~ I can hear the excitement in your post to see it off the needles and blocked!

    Can't wait! Melissa

  3. Oh I love that quote, it is a wonderful reminder to slow down and enjoy the process. Gorgeous Leaves! Who cares when you finished it, you finished it! I know I probably wouldn't be able to make it through a project that intricate.

  7. You're ahead of me too! I'm only 1/3 of the way through the second Chart D. I have often comtemplated exactly what you're talking about (for the exact same reasons!), when you say you want to knit faster, but still want to enjoy the process. I'm in the same place, and even tried to knit continental (for half a row), before I told myself to slow down and just enjoy...The ironic thing is that I'm a process knitter and always give the project away anyway!
