Shall We Quill? ~ a post from Kelli

Everybody getting ready?  Here's my choice, Loft.  Snowbound for the main color, CC 1 is Old World, CC 2 is Long Johns, CC 3 is Almanac, CC 4 is Storm Cloud.  A big box with these yarns were sitting on my porch waiting for me yesterday from Portland Maine.  This is partial  payment from my test knit, at 25% off.  Which was received to Jared emailing me my work was "great!"  This test knit chapter is final.   I'm hoping a picture of my sample  makes the cut...I believe  will be in the Brooklyn Tweed fall patterns collection.  But for now we will start the beautiful Quill~

    1. Yes it'll be very patriotic. I just raveled you about the blog. I appreciate your willingness to change stuff up.

      Got your yarn?

    2. I do not ~ unless I want to do a laceweight version (tons of that in the stash) but I was thinking blanket size for this one, so nope, not yet

I do have lace to fall back on though if I don't find something I love this week somewhere

  2. So exciting to hear that Jared said you work was great! I cheated and started on my Quill last night. At least I got the provisional cast on started. I don't like to think I'm cheating because I have had the yarn since the beginning of May and have been chomping at the bit to get this on my needles.

I don't love the yarn I'm using but I got it at a great price. I might make a second one out of Loft. I can't wait to see how yours turns out.

    1. Please post a picture of your yarn.
I need to look at the pattern enough to know it's a provional cast on. I'm itching to start.

    3. I also have a very light pink I might use instead of the light brown. But that is the prime alpaca I bought at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival.

    5. I know she wants to. She was going to use the alpaca yarn we sell at the farm. It isn't from our alpacas, but the same she used for the LOG. I'll check with her to see if she is in. I know her littlest one has been keeping her busy.
