I LOVE PARTIES............by guest blogger Andrea

Happy 5th Blog Birthday, Kelli and Melissa!

I've certainly received plenty of enjoyment from your shenanigans over the last 5 years.  I expect more to ensue.  I know lot of work goes into making it look fun and easy.  You do a great job.

I'm here to join in the Bonnie Sennott KAL.  I'm on the home stretch of my Spire KAL and really needed something new that's a little less stressful.  This pattern is going to fit the bill.  My yarn is from my stash (yes, really)!  It's a wonderful choice for this pattern.  It's Periwinkle Sheep Watercolors sock yarn in the Thunderstorm colorway.

I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone's progress.  I'm glad to be at this party!  WHEEEEEEE!!

Don't forget to make a wish when you blow out the candles!

  1. I love how excited you are and that you're using stash yarn and that amazing shade of blue you've chosen, Andrea! Thanks for contributing to the enjoyment I know I get from everyone that jumps in and blogs along with us occasionally. You all keep the whole thing worth doing!!

I blew your pics up just a little ~ can't have yarn photos too big!!! I'll try and get a picture up in the morning ~ and maybe soon I'll finish Spire as well :)

  2. I edited and added an additional image. It's not there. Is there something else I need to do?

    1. after you add it ~ there's an 'update' button up in the leftish corner of the page that you have to hit so it saves your new image (also any changes that you make to text...same thing...always 'update' before leaving the edit page)

if you can't figure it out, send it to me via email and I'll happily upload it for you!!

  5. Thanks Andrea! where'd you get the cake? so cute! The blog is fun, I'm lucky to have Melissa to push me out of my comfort zone, and try to be shenanigan-y (not to hard being us). Always enjoy when you join us for a kal. Your dark periwinkle yarn is divine~ maybe we should try another selfie, at knitting?

  6. Kelli, I found the cake image by googling "knitted birthday cake image". And it even has 5 candles! We'll do another selfie at Wildfibers. The word is your yarn is even more gorgeous in person. Happy knitting, all!
