The Mighty, Mighty Mel Saves the Day! ~ Post by Guest Blogger Jeff

Break out the bubbly! My Leave of Grass is FINISHED! Thanks in large part to Melissa, who, just by chance, had a partial skein of the same yarn in the same colorway as I was using - and was able to send that to me when I ran out with only 6 and a half edging repeats to go. All I needed was an extra 10 grams!

Anyway.

Behold!

It's only 375ml, but at $26, that's enough for me!

    1. OK - I'm on a mission for the smaller bottle...where did you find that??

I'm the only person that drinks it in my house and I can't drink an entire bottle before it looses it's fizz

I usually use up the last of it in mimosa's but I'd rather have it plain & fizzy :)

  8. Well, over here in Pennsylvania we still believe in good old Quaker values, so we have to go to a State Store (aka "Wine & Spirits Store" run by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board) in order to buy wine and liquor. (Beer sales are by the case at a distributor, or at a bar/restaurant with a special license to sell 6 packs). We've recently moved more towards the 21st century with some state stores actually open on Sundays, and some grocery stores being able to sell beer in their separate deli/restaurant area.

At any rate, this being Pennsylvania, I ran out to the closest state store at lunch and was relieved to see a smaller (and therefore cheaper) bottle sitting on the shelf!

And apologies for the long explanation of our antiquated ways, it just always boggles my mind a little when I'm in another state and you can buy wine & beer in the grocery stores - or they have a single store where you can by wine, beer, AND liquor all in one place! :)

    1. Why, thank you! :)

Couldn't have done it without your help, babe. Kisses.

    2. I have to admit, it cut the time to probably less than half what it would take if doing it alone. I look forward to collaborating with you on future blocking projects...
