DID YOU SEE? A post from Kelli

It's finally here! The new lace weight yarn from Jared Flood~ PLAINS. Check out this beautiful, elegant and folk-like, strong, springy, soft, smooth, all American  made fiber.  I believe it's a limited supply, buy sooner then later.

I was honored to test knit Quill with Plains this summer. Conversing back and forth, running out of yarn needed to complete, fortunately they had more in the same dye-lot. It was exciting, ever while knitting I was wanting to keep it, wondering if I was ready to hang up my "testing " needles?

How is everyone doing with Stonecrop?

  1. Oooh, lovely! How did you like Plains? I have been considering buying some, but the yarn stash already runneth over, and I'm hesitant to buy yarn without seeing it in person...

  2. Thanks Kelly. I really really like Plains.
Can you see me? I'm in the same "runneth over boat" with you ~

Plains yarn reminds me of Swan Island lace, have you seen that? But Plains is that squishy/ touch of stretchy. The loose 2ply adds another level that I haven't seen. Really strong, I was concerned about that, yarn never broke, I used 4 skeins, and I tested while knitting.
I didn't know all the colors that Plains would come in, so I waited and ordered the Junco color. Amazing dusty light blue. Sigh ~
I recommend purchasing at least one skein.
    Happy winter and knitting!

    1. I like big stashes! I just get overwhelmed by mine ;) I think I might pull the trigger on this yarn, though. Your glowing recommendation and its limited quantity mean that it will go quickly.
