Just keep knitting, just keep knitting...

I'm getting there!  I've finished the lace border and am beginning the knitted on edging today.  I feel like I've been knitting this thing for ages!  I should probably take a break and knit something else for awhile, but I don't want to lose steam, so I'm going to just keep knitting....Hope all is well with everyone else!

  1. it is lovely, Kelly!!

I'm getting there ~ I think I'm on row 29 or something like that on the horseshoe lace

it seems to go so much faster than the garter square ~ it's not ~ each row takes me almost an hour!!

  2. Way to go, and thanks! I think I was averaging 40 minutes per row...that's a lot of knitting! At least you have Kelli around to help you get started on the edging...It's kicking my butt. .I've ripped it out three times now.

  3. Kelly - did you make Juneberry? I had a HUGE problem with getting the edging going....took about 4 tries (I kept attaching it backwards). I think this edging is done the exact way and I'm trying to remember how I solved my problem on Juneberry....I seem to remember that I took the instructions WAY too literally. It had something to do with how I was orienting my shawl in my lap when I was attaching the first row of edgework. What is it that you are struggling with? Just curious

  4. DOH!! as soon as I hit send I realized that I KNOW that you've done Juneberry....you did it with us :)

I was so intent on the edging problem (I've actually been thinking about it for the last couple days) that I wasn't thinking clearly

    somedays, I wonder about me!

  6. Mel, you're a wonder! Once you reminded me about the edging on Juneberry, it all came back. I don't know how or why, but I was having a directionally-challenged moment. I think I was trying to knit backwards, actually. I'm on track now!!! Sweet, sweet victory.

  7. awesome! glad I could help....I'm just hoping I can figure it out when I get there :)

I remember how frustrated I got with Juneberry ~ I'm hoping I made myself a good note somewhere about my 'lightbulb' moment on that edging or else I'm afraid I'll struggle again!

  8. I never had any trouble with Juneberry, so I was surprised that this one was so difficult for me. Now that I've figured it out, I'm up for questions on it, too! Just drop me a line.
