My Local Yarn Shop & Job Are Closing ~ a post by Kelli

I packed up my samples, and took them home.

It will be a sad week.
The end of Ana Cross Stitch as it will close as of March 9th.
I will miss so many things about my my part-time work there.
I have worked with great women and had wonderful experiences.
The unknown is coming again.
It's starting to sink in, but I won't be ready to turn in my shop key.
A simple reminder to be grateful for your job.
Time will tell where I go next.

  3. I'm sorry to hear this news. You will gracefully meet and conquer the next phase of life - you've done it a time or two since we met. You've always got my support, Kelli! It doesn't really seem too unexpected. I wish good luck to the other great women who worked there. Just curious, was it ever up for sale?

    1. My Andrea Of Green Gables! Thank you, with women like you who've helped me up and dust me off, how can I stay down?

I'll talk to you later about the 'ever up for sale?' when I see you.

Don't forget I'm here for you too! Hope to visit soon.

  7. Change is hard. From the comments I've read so far, it sounds like you have an awesome support system to help ease the transition into your next adventure. There's a quote I read once that has helped me through uncertainty: "I don't know what will come next, or how it will come. I know it never works out the way I think it will. Looking back, it always has worked out the way it should" ~ Sabrina Ward Harrison

    1. Your quote is right, and that is my life experience.

I would be a tangled hank of lace weight yarn without my friends.

      Thanks Kelly

  14. I'm sad to hear about Ana Cross Stitch closing. I only got up there a couple times during the LYS Tour, but the staff was always so friendly, and it was a great place to shop. I know there is something wonderful waiting around the next corner for you, Kelli.
