I packed up my samples, and took them home. It will be a sad week. The end of Ana Cross Stitch as it will close as of March 9th. I will miss so many things about my my part-time work there. I have worked with great women and had wonderful experiences. The unknown is coming again. It's starting to sink in, but I won't be ready to turn in my shop key. A simple reminder to be grateful for your job. Time will tell where I go next. |

on the up side ~ look at all the relationships you've formed with women you will keep forever ~ the shop may be closing but you're taking tons more away than what you brought with you :)
ReplyDeleteps ~ heard you're off to Vegas soon???? happy travels
Yes, I'm taking far more then I gave and had when I started there.
Deleteand
yep, I'm off to Vegas, the end of March, to see my sister and play.
So nice that you have fond memories of a job loved. Many are never that lucky. Sorry it's ending, but I hope the next chapter in your book of life is even better.
ReplyDeleteThank you Penny, I have been really fortunate. Looking forward ~
DeleteI'm sorry to hear this news. You will gracefully meet and conquer the next phase of life - you've done it a time or two since we met. You've always got my support, Kelli! It doesn't really seem too unexpected. I wish good luck to the other great women who worked there. Just curious, was it ever up for sale?
ReplyDeleteMy Andrea Of Green Gables! Thank you, with women like you who've helped me up and dust me off, how can I stay down?
DeleteI'll talk to you later about the 'ever up for sale?' when I see you.
Don't forget I'm here for you too! Hope to visit soon.
Oh No!
ReplyDeleteSo on the upside, does that mean you'de be available for lunch one of these days, my treat??
It's a tough week. Yes let's do lunch, that'd be really fun!
DeleteSending hugs your way, Kelli. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteMmmm, thanks Tanna
DeleteIt is very sad.. I am sure the Lord has something great in store for you. No one can take what you have learned and the great friends you have made. Up side is you still have me. :) Hugs and Blessings. Love ya.
ReplyDeleteThe Lord is so good! and what would I do without you?~ love ya too!
DeleteChange is hard. From the comments I've read so far, it sounds like you have an awesome support system to help ease the transition into your next adventure. There's a quote I read once that has helped me through uncertainty: "I don't know what will come next, or how it will come. I know it never works out the way I think it will. Looking back, it always has worked out the way it should" ~ Sabrina Ward Harrison
ReplyDeleteYour quote is right, and that is my life experience.
DeleteI would be a tangled hank of lace weight yarn without my friends.
Thanks Kelly
Ha! Perfect analogy ;)
DeleteSo sorry to hear about this. When one door closes another one opens. I know good things are in store for you:) if you ever want to do tea and knitting let me know.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph, what are you up to Friday March 27th? I'll be down your way all day.
DeletePerhaps you can teach a class or two at my LYS in Coupeville.. :). Please email me through our website at whidbeyyarns.net.
ReplyDeleteThese seasons of walking into the unknown are tough. Hope you find support in your friendships.
ReplyDeleteThanks Juliann
DeleteOh that is so sad. Come move to NJ and work with me!
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet. I've never been to the East Coast. What a thrill it would be to visit.
ReplyDeleteI always feel like when something like this happens, it's the Universe's way of making room for something even better! As I look at that stack of your samples, I can see how talented you are. There is definitely something wonderful on the horizon for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to hear about Ana Cross Stitch closing. I only got up there a couple times during the LYS Tour, but the staff was always so friendly, and it was a great place to shop. I know there is something wonderful waiting around the next corner for you, Kelli.
