Progress has been slow, but that's due to Mother's Day coming up soon and the fact that I gotta get my momma's leg warmers done. Plus it's Sheep & Wool weekend (we met Andee!) so that means lots of time for shopping and little time for knitting.
Going back tomorrow for a sheep breed walkabout with Deb Robson. And maybe shelling out some money for an antique great wheel like this one. :)
the wheel....oh, my !!!! I also saw the stash additions that you and Will uploaded today ~ you guys are having a blast it looks like
ReplyDeletemy husband volunteered the two of you to host me and drive me to MDSW next year ~ his bright idea
I think he's brilliant :)
can i come too? :)
DeleteIf you can get to NJ we'll get you to the festival! WillyG & Jeff were so much fun. I am now in on the May Day KAL! They are the best!
Deleteyou're more than welcome, but you might have to bunk with the spinning wheels :D
Deleteok ~ this is hilarious
DeleteI just commented on your purchase post about there not being any room for me to come visit now with this giant beauty residing with you :)
your shawl looks beautiful, i wish i had time to knit it too! andee! she sent me the photo of you and her and so willy g!! so much fun!
ReplyDeletehow exciting about the wheel, have fun tomorrow :)
DON'T BUY ONE. My sister has one as a decoration in her kitchen over her cabinets. Yes that is how we decorate. I am sure we can tote it out to you. You will just need the lessons. She won't mind and my cousin lives close by to you guys and they have a margartia machine so I am pretty sure it won't be hard to loaded in our pick up and head west. Or it won't be hard to convince my husband to head West with the promise of Tequila on the other end.
ReplyDeleteI love this!!! the last kal sparked some new 'real life' friendships ~ so proud :)
DeleteHee hee. I also meant to add above you might have to make my sister an offer on hers first. So MAYBE buy one :) She might need some parts for the one she has. But really before you buy one you might want to give her an offer on the one she has.
Deleteoops. too late!
Deletebut i'm totally cool with it. i bought from a vendor i met last year. as it happens, their farm is literally a 5 minute drive from my house. :)
Your shawl is looking great.
ReplyDeleteYou're meeting other kal'ers in person...
the festival I bet is amazing.
Thanks for sharing.
thanks - I like how the habu is turning out, it is a quick knit, i just won't be done quickly with everything else going one. :)
DeleteI wish I was with Andee when she met you guys!!!! I was in another barn somewhere. I was on the fence about this KAL just because I have a lot going on, but now i have to join back in. Good times.
