hello :) - by guest blogger Jesse

I am very happy and excited to be KALing with everyone, and I love Rachel's Shawl! Such a beautiful pattern.

I pulled some yarn from the deep stash (seriously, it was back when I could store all my yarn in one little basket!) and it's putting me right in the mood for autumn. The yarn is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Foliage Tonal.

I love seeing everyone's progress!! Hope everyone's staying warm, but still enjoying those pumpkin ales ;)

  1. I am skipping the pumpkin ales this year, I think...too many exciting seasonal brews happening here. currently drinking Saint Arnold Icon Gold - http://www.saintarnold.com/beers/icon.html once I'm done with these, some of the newer breweries are releasing Oktoberfest!

I love this colorway, a perfect fall knit. That would make me want to find an autumnal BPAL scent and put a little in the soaking water.

    1. You can't beat a good seasonal, local brew! One of our breweries has a Scotch ale that only comes out this time of the season, so good!

and yes, I feel right in the fall mood when I knit this!

    2. pumpkin ales can be really delicious. Brooklyn Brewery's Post Road Pumpkin Ale I enjoyed very much. The style has become pretty popular (it's the pumpkin spice latte of beers) so should be easy to find some near you!

  5. The yarn I have set aside for this pattern is similar to yours... seeing how yours is turning out is a wonderful incentive to get mine started!

  6. This colorway is PERFECT for this time of year! I love how this is turning out. Alas I am not drinking lattes anymore and beer just makes crabby (LOL!) but I have a new chai tea that is very fall-ish and I am sipping it now as I type this. I love that your shawl makes me want to wrap something warmer around me shoulders on this chilly morn' here in the Land of Ice and Snow. :-)
