IT'S A FINISH ~ guest blogger Eileen

It has been snowing here all day, a foot of snow to present time here in Northern Colorado and no it has not stopped coming down yet. I was to be at a reception this evening with Justice Sotomayer, [ yes that would be the US Supreme Court ]. But with the snow and ice I decided not to make the trip to Denver, what a bummer ! But everything has a silver lining and I buckled down and finished Leaves of Grass.
As I type my shawl is in a soak soon to be blocked, after drying I will have more pictures.

Just another snow storm in Colorado on May 1, 2013

  1. it's as white as the snow and big enough to cozy up under while you're stuck inside

good job for sticking with this knit, Eileen ~ I hope you think it was worth the bit of struggle at the beginning

    I do :) ~ it's wonderful!

  3. Oh the shawl looks beautiful. Oh I don't know how I feel about snow in May, but at least you can still wear warm handknits!

    1. Thanks, I'm rather smitten with the finish project. As for the snow thing....what can I say , I live in Colorado. We live at the base of the mountains just north of Denver and south of Cheyenne about one mile high in elevation. April and now May have been HUGE in the snow department! We need it and it will be in the 70's day after tomorrow ') My garden is a little confused.

  5. If it's any consolation, we had snow in Minnesota yesterday too. Just when I thought it was springtime! Great job on finishing your leaves! I'm very impressed!
