I was going to say 'good morning' but that part of the day seems to have passed already! So, instead I'll just say 'happy Saturday' and ask how the knitting is going. I'm nearing the end of Chart C on my Girasole and as always, the bulk of a circular knit gets harder and harder to photograph. I had to knit three circulars into my throw to get it to just barely lay flat enough for a picture. You know how that is if you've ever knit a round shawl ~ pretty soon your imagination and trust in your knitting needs to take over since you won't see the full fruits of your labor until it's completely finished and off your needles. I love that suspense!
Excited to hear from the rest of you who haven't yet commented on this post
so please don't forget to take a minute and do that (Jody, Emily, Karen and Erin are the only people yet to do so I think).
That's it for today ~ just a quicky update and wishes for a good weekend to you all. Happy knitting!
Melissa
Oh, Melissa, that color is magical. You are "flying" through the pattern. Flying, get it? Ha!
ReplyDeleteyou're funny :)
Deleteit looks like I'm flying...until you scroll down to Will's finished Girasole and see exactly where I am...which is not very far...and then the rows get endlessly long...and then there's that pesky knitted on edging to do
heh ;)
I don't get it...I must be missing an inside joke ;)
DeleteOk, I read your post, Andrea ~ NOW I get it ;)
DeleteLooking awesome! There's definitely some trust involved with this kind of project, but just keep on keeping on and Jared flood won't let you down. I love the color, it really 'pops'
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired to make something using some 'mystery merino' in the same colorway
DeleteI'm loving this colorway and the Peace Fleece is so much 'tweedier' than Shelter ~ so many different bright flecks of colors including BLUE!
DeleteFantastic, Mel. I LOVE the color and you ARE flying -- from my vantage point.
ReplyDeleteI'm days from crashing and burning...once you get past the first couple charts the rows take soooo long and progress seems to slow to a creepy crawl...
Deleteit's all relative though ;)
