Tolt-R-Us... Guest Blogger Penny & Carolyn!

Guess where we went? Yup, Tolt Yarn & Wool! Quaint, beautifully displayed yarn and accessories, and friendly staff.

Wish I could say we spent a lot of money, but the holidays sucked the life out of my budget (I can't speak for C). In any event, I did buy this beautiful "Puddle" Bumblebirch yarn. It is earmarked for a classy shawl, though I have no idea what pattern -- just yet. I love that it will go with denim.

You guys have a WONDERFUL time on your January KAL. I'm envious, but have too many pans in the fire. I'll drop by periodically so I can ooh and ah your many creations.

    2. very good ;)

the only thing that could have made it better was if I was there, too, right ~ hehe!

    3. Well of course -- you would have made it even better! We didn't take the time to stop and knit, as you suggested. There was one woman sitting in a chair in front near the books, knitting, and two others in another area -- gabbing and having fun. Tolt had an eclectic selection of yarn/colors. Lighting was good. Lamps are such a nice touch -- like home. :)

  3. Kelly -- you are awesome! Thank you, thank you!

Yes, Mel, we did like TOLT. I have since edited this post, as in added the link and a few complimentary comments. I looked on my receipt and Rachel is the person who helped us. She remembered you! We will for sure go back.

    1. I thought that was Rachel but I don't remember her having glasses on when we were there. She was wonderful...they were all so nice.

    1. Thnx Andrea. So many choices. I want to do something I haven't knitted before. I love denim, so this will probably be worn more than other shawls. Tomorrow C and I are going to block her Streusel. Mine is almost finished! Woohoo! I will feel liberated. I am not good at multiple WIP's. :)

    1. We sure do have fun, Kelli! I wish she would quit work so we could have even more, but she needs money -- go figure. Maybe we should adopt Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid's pastime? Oh wait, they were killed, right? We better stick with gainful employment, except I'm retired. Sometimes I help in her 3rd Grade Class, so we do have fun at her work -- I'll take anything I can get. Enjoy your KAL. If I can get my act together I will join the next one. :)
