Well, after the fifth time casting on, I got it going.
I have no idea why it was so hard for me to get this started!!!!
I don't think I was breathing while I did it either.
I ended up having to put it down, drive to the yarn store for more stitch markers, calm down
and then start again. Finally it worked.
I'm on to Chart B. Woo Hoo!
Thank you to my sister, Andee for her support over the phone.
Thought I was losing my mind yesterday.
Happy Knitting! -Leanne
It looks beautiful! I'm glad you worked out the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Andee ~ it's amazing! the center is definitely the fiddliest part of the whole thing ~ the rest seems a breeze once you get past that little beginning!
DeleteI have lace projects that I would have never been knit if it wasn't for a Kals, they really help. It's looking great.
ReplyDeletenothing like a little encouragement & support with things that are challenging!
DeleteBeautiful ! The center gave LOTS of heartache as well. But we made it ;)
ReplyDeleteI had the same issues and thanks to Lori and Melissa for all their help. After the fiddly part was over...it really is fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is looking beautiful Leanne!
It is looking fantastic! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteHello, I subscribe to your blog and lurk, this is my first time posting. :)
ReplyDeleteYour beginning looks wonderful! I can relate to the casting on several times before you get going part, especially with lace. I just figure I'll cast on at least 3-5 times before I actually start, lol. The yarn is very complimentary to the pattern. I can't wait to see the progress. Beautiful!
Happy Knitting!
Jen
Thanks Jen! Yes, so fiddly and hard to start. I should go with that rule...takes 5 times to cast on before I get going! Then I won't be annoyed when it takes so many tries.
Deleteyou are so fast! already chart b! it's looking awesome leanne :)
